Third Grade

In 3^rd grade, we emphasize different cultures! I encourage each student to share similarities and differences they've experienced within their own cultures! I do my best to create project that are relative to our student demographics as well as to the academics they learn in the general classroom. I firmly believe it is important for each student to see their cultures represented in what we create, and I also believe they need to see what they learn in the classroom in different settling to fully understand the content. This year, projects with each medium were very open ended to inspire self-discovery, provide opportunity to include their own cultures, and encourage research to further knowledge. Each project also continues to contain art history as it relates to the lesson.
